Ford Mustang V6 1,000 Laps Challenge

Known as a sports car – or a muscle car to be exact – Ford Mustang was never famous for being economical when it comes to fuel consumption. The car itself is fun to drive and very affordable, but it also holds a reputation of having high fuel consumption to make the engine performs at its best. Mustang’s V6 engine is one powerful beast indeed. Since Ford is making a move towards greener cars, proving that high-performance Ford Mustang can also be economical is simply perfect. They are trying to do exactly that by announcing the Mustang V6 1,000 Laps Challenge campaign.

The Mustang V6 1,000 Laps Challenge is basically a nice test run to see if Ford Mustang and the new, eco-friendly, engine can perform just as good compared to previous gasoline engines used by the same model. To make it even more interesting, the new and improved 2011 Ford Mustang V6 will be driven through 1,000 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway on a single tank. This means the 2011 Ford Mustang will be consuming no more than one tank to travel a little over 500 miles distance.

Interested to know whether the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 can complete this challenge? Stay tuned for more updates right here on this site. Ford is taking the challenge seriously and is making all the necessary preparations, so it will be interesting to see the outcome of this challenge indeed. If the 2011 Ford Mustang can complete the 1,000 laps challenge, it will be one of the best eco-friendly car available today.

Ford Taurus is one of the most popular cars in the world, especially in the United States. This car is known for being economical yet powerful and functional. Pair all the positive traits of Ford Taurus with affordable price, and you get one perfect car to purchase. All the positive traits, the grand legacy of Ford Taurus, are now carried by the latest Ford Taurus SEL Sedan released earlier this year.

The 2011 Ford Taurus SEL Sedan is basically a redesigned version of 2010 Ford Taurus, featuring rather large American-style exterior design and comfortable interior amenities. Driving a Ford Taurus, you can expect a nice mix of performance and comfort at all times.

The 3.5-liter V6 engine is capable of producing 236 hp; it may be relatively small in terms of horsepower compared to other V6 engines, but it is certainly responsive and offers superb fuel consumption ratio. It is obvious that Ford is adapting saloon form factor to provide larger space for passengers and baggage. In this case, the V6 engine used in 2011 Ford Taurus SEL Sedan is more than capable enough to power the car.

Another good thing about Ford Taurus is superb resale value. This latest version of Ford Taurus is no different, which means buying one can also be a good investment. After one or two years of use, you can trade it with newer model and still get good price for the car. Ford Taurus really offers everything you can possibly ask from a car.
